Judith Ann Spryn passed away comfortably in her home in Raleigh on January 9th, 2026. She was surrounded by family, friends and those who wished to thank her for her wisdom, compassion and selfless character.

Judy was born on August 9th, 1942 in Butler, Pennsylvania, to George and Thelma Marra. She graduated from Butler High School and went on to pursue her passion of cosmetology. She owned and operated a salon for many years where she exhibited expertise and attention to detail. At her home in Fenelton, Pennsylvania, her hospitality and compassion were always on display to family and friends. Every year she hosted 'Camp Grandma' accommodating, entertaining and nurturing her grandchildren, who share countless invaluable memories of their time with her.

Judy's life was guided and directed by her Catholic faith. Throughout her years, one of the roles she performed was caregiver. She attended her husband, Richard, in his battle with chronic ailments for many of those years. Following his death, she moved to Raleigh, North Carolina with her son Rick to escape the cold of Pennslyvania. Without missing a beat, she continued her caregiving rold in attending to Rick in his battle with Parkinson's Disease. Although her address may have changed, her dispostion did not. In every interaction, she radiated compassion and selflessness, a reflection of her devotion and the living out of her faith.

Judy is predeceased by her husband Richard Spryn, as well as a sister, Mary. Judy is survived and remembered by her son Rick and daughter Christina Stafford (Philip), her sisters Camilla Wilson, Sandra Magyar (Frank), Pat Rayl (Don), and Rita McMasters, her brothers George (Joyce) and Randy Marra (Lisa), grandchildren Blake Spryn, Britnee Spryn, Martha Tack (Dustin McCracken), Ethan Tack, and Mitchell Tack, great granddaughter Bailee Spryn, and great grandson, Asher Daly. All share precious memories of their time with her and were recipients of her love, grace and unwavering faith. The family will host a memorial of her life and legacy at a time yet to be determined.
