Rebecca Overton Hilburn

Rebecca Overton Hilburn, 84, passed away January 29, 2026 peacefully at WakeMed North Hospital. She was born January 24, 1942 to the late John Crayton Overton and Annie Myrtle Haithcock.
She is survived by her husband William Hilburn of 51 years, son John Everett Jordan and brother John Crayton Overton, Jr.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her younger brother Earl Overton.
She was also a proud graduate of Benvenue Elementary and High School class of 1960.
A Celebration of Life will be held February 21 at Englewood United Methodist Church, 300 S Circle, Rocky Mount, NC 27804. 11:00am to 12:00 will be a gathering of family and friends in the church sanctuary to allow remembrance of Becky. A service will be held at 12PM officiated by the Reverend Nathan Wittman
In lieu of flowers, a donation could be made to the Dementia Alliance of North Carolina, Englewood Methodist church or your favorite charity.
Gratitude is expressed to the staff of WakeMed North Hospital and also to TerraBella Northridge Memory care unit who showed compassionate and loving care of Becky over the months.
