Michael Conger

Michael Glenn Conger, 53, of Plant City, Florida, passed away on February 7, 2025, after an unforeseen event in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Michael was born to Billy and Sharon Conger on January 8, 1972, in Plant City, Florida. After Michael graduated from Plant City High School in 1990, he went on to study the trade of Journeymen Iron Working at the Iron Worker Local Union 397 in Tampa, Florida, where he remained a member for over 30 years.
In 2005, Michael met his wife, Michelle "Micky" Lizotte-Conger, in Brandon, Florida. Michael was the greatest stepfather of Micky's two children: Travis Hart (Hannah) and Mikala Buxton (Dallas). Michael is survived by his wife and stepchildren, his parents, Bill and Sharon, and four grandchildren: Brenton, Jace, Makenna, and Sadie. He had two brothers, Mark Josh Bennett, and a sister, Lisa Ayuso (Greg), as well as seven nieces, two nephews, one aunt, Bonnie Reynolds, and several cousins.
Micheal is preceded in death by the family fur babies: Charley, Buddy, Harley, and Fatboy, who he loved dearly.
Michael enjoyed playing the guitar and songwriting, drawing pictures and caricatures for his family and friends to enjoy, and making jokes with his unique quick wit and sense of humor to make others smile and laugh. Michael had a special way of "pushing your buttons" until you were mad, followed by him busting out in his hearty laughter and bright smile, which was so loved and cherished by all who knew him.
Michael's character and personality were enormous for this side of heaven, and all who knew him would feel his loss endlessly.
In honor of Michael's wishes, he will be cremated, and the family will not be holding a service at this time. Plans for a celebration of life will be determined at a later date.
