Obituary:
The world has lost a delightful ray of sunshine on March 19, 2025, with the sudden passing of Linda Farrell. She was born on the Southside of Chicago, traveled to many places, impacting many lives, flourished in learning, and was a much-loved woman. She will be remembered for her wit, intelligence, spunk, her BIG personality, and her forthrightness.

Her family
Linda was a wonderful friend and an inspiration to everyone she met. She often spoke about her loving husband, Ian Farrell. She treasured the compass necklace he gave her with the inscription, "I would be lost without you." She too would be lost without him, often following him on his various adventures. Her conversations were always centered around family and her beloved baby boy cats. Linda is survived by her husband, Ian, and her four children, John, Lisa, Renee, Amy, along with five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She is also survived by three brothers and a sister.

Her passion/interests
Linda had a passion for Tai Chi and had been practicing for decades, recently attaining her certification to teach. As an avid book reader, she enjoyed mysteries, science fiction, fantasy and detective novels. She expressed her creative self with painted decorative ceramics, jewelry beading, and stained glass. She was a lover of birds and cats, Riker and Dash being her recent loves. She loved visiting antique shops as she traveled, the potteries in Seagrove, and had a special fondness for Stick Boy and Brus on Main in downtown Fuquay-Varina.

Her community
She was a cherished member of the community, especially at Club Worx and Stick Boy, where she will be sorely missed. Linda loved aqua aerobics, the cardio dance class, and most of all, Tai Chi. She would leave Gold’s Gym and go to Club Worx to swim, then teach a class. Her energy and spunk were unmatched. She recently found community in this Church, meeting people who would have a huge impact on her in such a short time.
