Phyllis Aiken

Phyllis Aiken, born Phyllis Hess on April 29, 1939, in Teaneck, NJ, passed away peacefully on April 11th, 2025, in Holly Springs, NC. She resided in Cary, NC for many years.

Phyllis embraced life with a passion for simple pleasures. She found immense joy in the beauty of her garden, the thrill of discovering unique treasures at thrift stores, and the tranquility of being near the beach and the water. Phyllis also cherished sharing a good bottle of wine and engaging in heartfelt conversations with those she loved.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Aiken.

Phyllis is survived by her loving children, Kirk Tilton, John Tilton and his wife Kristin, and Christina Wilding and her husband Michael. She was a proud and devoted grandmother to seven grandchildren.
