Lorraine Farrow

Lorraine Mary Farrow (Sichelstiel), a loving wife, devoted mother, and cherished grandmother known for her engaging spirit and joyful outlook, passed away peacefully on December 11, 2025 in Raleigh, North Carolina. She was 83.
Born in Baltimore, Maryland on July 31, 1942, Lorraine and her beloved sister, Joyce, were lovingly raised by their grandparents, Joe and Pearl Sichelstiel, who instilled in her a deep sense of commitment to family and the value of hard work.
Lorraine was the proud and loving mother of three children: Matt (Kathy), Jan (Mike), and John (Kim). She was a devoted “GrandMom” to her seven grandchildren: Alicia, James, Sean, Chris, Melissa, John, and Justin. Her greatest pride was her family, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
Lorraine found immense joy in her long career in the supermarket industry. For many years, she brightened the days of countless customers, delighting in seeing them and hearing about their families. She was known for her exceptional warmth and genuine interest in others.
She shared 38 beautiful years with her husband, Bob Farrow. They built a wonderful life together and shared a passion for adventure. They loved traveling, taking 44 cruises together, playing games (especially Dominoes), and enjoying meals at local restaurants with their many friends. They enjoyed their retirement years soaking up the sunshine in Florida.
Lorraine moved to Raleigh, North Carolina in 2015 to be closer to family. She attended Mass at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church where she enjoyed chatting with the fellow parishioners.
