Evelyn Marie Mitchell

Evelyn-Mitch was a Navy Corman recognized as the first woman to serve aboard her ship, breaking barriers and paving the way for future generations of women in uniform.
Throughout her long and honorable career, she served with courage, integrity, and determination. Even after retirement, Evelyn-Mitch remained deeply proud of her service and the sacrifices it required. Her strength, resilience, and leadership left a lasting impression on those who had the honor of serving alongside her.
Evelyn-Mitch is survived by Robyn Endicott care giver. Three sisters, one brother, and several great nieces and great nephews, as well as extended family, friends, and fellow veterans who will cherish her memory.
She will be remembered not only for her historic achievements, but also for her perseverance, sense of duty, and commitment to service. Her legacy of courage and dedication will never be forgotten.
