Justin Tanis-Cruz Berwanger

Justin Tanis-Cruz Berwanger of Parkesburg, PA tragically lost his life on January 20th, 2026 after a hit-and-run. Justin was born in October 1990 in West Palm Beach, Florida to his mother, Daphne Martinez Berwanger and his father, the late Steven Louis Berwanger. He is survived by his mother and his siblings Sarah Hinterberger, Tyler Berwanger, and Arika Berwanger.

He was a graduate of Octorara Area High School, a Chevalier in DeMolay, and studied Nursing at HACC. His hobbies included drawing, befriending pets, playing videogames, learning to sing and/or rap songs, and rewatching his favorite TV shows. He often worked in food service or as a handyman.

Justin loved his family deeply and held close the memories and connections he made throughout his life. He was an incredibly funny, tenacious man and he is fiercely missed by those who knew him.
