Kimberly Isenhour

Kimberly Thomson Isenhour 1976 -2026
Kim, 49, passed on January 28th, 2026 from heart failure.
She was born in La Mesa, CA on February 20, 1976 to Bill and Karen Thomson. Southern California is where she fell in love with the ocean.
She earned a Bachelor's in Biology from Clemson University and a Master's degree at Ohio State University. Kim had careers with the USDA and Army Corps of Engineers where she was highly respected as a streams and wetlands biologist.
Kim was preceded in death by her father, Bill Thomson, and is survived by her mother, Karen Thomson and her brother, Kiel Thomson (his wife Jeannette and their son Gavin), her husband David Isenhour and her children, Hunter, Walker, and Brooke Browning, and grandson Jude Browning.
Kim was a joyous, positive, and spiritual human being who loved the beach and being surrounded by her children. She also loved her feline fur babies (Woo, Larry and Steve...as well as many before them). She also loved music, went to tons of concerts, and knew the words to all of the songs. Her kids would be amazed that she could sing along to every song that came on the radio. The world is left with one of the most beautiful souls missing, but never forgotten.
There will be a Celebration of life for Kim at The Botanical Lounge (419 Glenwood Ave Level 1 Raleigh, NC 27603) from 3-6PM, March 21st, 2026.
