Marie Williams

With hearts filled with immeasurable sorrow, but bursting with love and gratitude of all she was to us the family of Marie Y. Williams announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Marie was born on August 1, 1935, and went to heaven on April 1, 2026.

Marie is survived by her daughter, Kathy Cashwell, and son-in-law Narley Cashwell, Sr.; her grandchildren Christopher Williams, Narley Cashwell, Jr. (Brandy) and Becky McAuley (Johnny); great grandkids Brandon Cashwell, Ashton Cashwell, Morgan Conrad (Simeon) and Seth McAulay; and 2 great-great grandkids. She is also survived by her dear dear friend, Karen Barnes.

She is preceded in death by her son Steve Williams, her parents, and her siblings.

Marie lived a life arising from a deep and enduring faith, generosity, grace, and unconditional love. She never met a stranger and always left an indelible impression on those blessed with having had the honor and privilege of knowing her.

A Memorial service will be held on April 23, 2026, at 11:00am at First United Methodist Church of Cary in Cary, North Carolina. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Marie’s honor to First United Methodist Church of Cary or any animal charity of one’s choice.
