Travis Tarrant

Travis Tarrant, of Raleigh, passed away on April 25, 2026.

Travis was born in October 1967 to Nancy and Jimmy. He had a lifelong love of science fiction, books, movies, wrestling, and the Kansas Jayhawks. He was also a talented artist with a natural gift for drawing. Travis valued his time working at the airport and with American Airlines.

Travis faced many health challenges over the years, including cancer and heart-related illnesses, and showed strength through each of them. His mother finds comfort in knowing he is now at peace and no longer suffering. He is deeply loved and survived by his mother, Nancy Stancil. He is also survived by his son, Christopher Tarrant, and his brothers. He was preceded in death by his sister, Mary.

A celebration of life will be held by his mother, Nancy Stancil, on May 22 from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM at Lake Johnson Waterfront Center, 4601 Avent Ferry Road, Raleigh, NC 27606. In lieu of flowers, support may be offered to assist his mother through her GoFundMe page or by making a donation in Travis’s honor to an organization he would have appreciated.
