Pauletta Hernandez

Pauletta “Polly” Ward Hernandez, 60, of Fayetteville, NC, went to be with her ancestors on August 21, 2024, at Duke Raleigh Hospital, Raleigh, NC.

Pauletta was born in Talihina, OK on June 2, 1964, to the late Julius Carterby and Mary Lou Thierry. She loved crocheting, calligraphy, bowling, dancing, music, and spending time with her grandchildren and “Punky Boy”, Kahtos.

She was preceded by grandparents Jacob and Edna Carterby, grandmother Linsey Alemohtubbi Ward, uncle Johnny Ward, aunts Mary Harris, Cealis Carterby, and Sealin Carterby, and sister Juliet Ward.

She leaves to cherish her memory, spouse Gabriel Hernandez; five children, Vanessa Ward (Vaughn), Joseph Hernandez (Brittany), Rebecca Nolasco, Elizabeth Hernandez, and Joshua Hernandez (Alaina); eight grandchildren, Tyanna, Jalen, Catherine, Jackson, Khalil, Antonio, Isabella, and Maddox; great-grandson Jeremiah; and two nieces, Jeneca Alvarez (Jose) and Angela Osborn.
