Amy Kamm
On Wednesday, August 5, 2026, Amy Baird Kamm, 51, of Rolesville, NC passed into the loving arms of Jesus. She leaves behind her husband Jeremy, and three grown children, Abby (23), Benjamin (21), and Eli (19). She also leaves behind her parents, Gloria and Carlton Baird of Wake Forest, NC, and her brother Eddie Baird of Madison, WI. She was preceded in death by her sister, Dr. Shannon Jenkins as well as her maternal grandparents, Roy Edward and Virginia Smith Norris; and her paternal grandparents, Reginald Davis and Eunice Gay Baird.
Amy was born in Sanford, NC. The second daughter of Carlton and Gloria. They moved several times throughout her childhood but always called North Carolina “home”. She graduated high school from TC Roberson in Asheville, NC in 1992 where she was a Scholar Athlete in both swimming and cheerleading. She attended Appalachian State in Boone, NC for two years before transferring to UNC-Greensboro. She was a member of the National Sorority of Nurses at UNCG and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a bachelor’s degree in nursing. She married Jeremy Kamm on May 9, 1998. Upon graduating, she worked at Duke Hospital in Durham, NC where all three of her children were born. She later worked at Duke Raleigh Hospital in Raleigh, NC.
Amy loved music and could be found singing throughout the home. It was not long after her sister passed that her husband suggested that she try out for their church band. She was a natural and loved it so much that she also sang for other groups, and eventually became the lead singer of New Reveille, a regionally well-known band that toured nationally. After signing a record deal, they recorded an album in Nashville, TN with Grammy winning producer, Ben Fowler.
She was a devoted mother and wife and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She loved to travel and split her time between the North and South Carolina beaches and the North Carolina mountains.
She loved to try new things and was always up for an adventure. She enjoyed making others laugh with her impressions and her thoughts about life. She lived her life to the fullest and enjoyed success that most of us only dream about. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
A memorial service will be held at Seven Marks Church at 3500 Spring Forest Road, Raleigh, NC on Friday the 14th of August at 10:00am. The family will receive guests at 9:00am before the service.
