We are disheartened to share the news that our beloved father, companion, and friend John Hebert of Wake Forest passed away after a long illness. He transitioned peacefully on July 24 th surrounded by family. John was born April 15 th , 1949, in Worcester Massachusetts. He was predeceased by his parents Clarence (Larry) Hebert, and his mother Pauline Hebert. He is survived by his sisters Elaine Bruso and Janice Macgillivray, both of Massachusetts. John leaves behind three children, Richard Norton of Windham, Maine, Jennifer Reynolds of Zebulon, North Carolina, and Shelby Hebert of Springhill, Florida. He is also survived by his long-time companion Cynthia Bulkley of Rolesville, North
Carolina. John had six grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.

John enlisted in the Navy at an early age. After his honorable discharge he went on to become a successful entrepreneur and businessman. His superpower was how he could repair just about anything. During his long career as a plumber, with his business Hebert Plumbing and Backflow, he improved the lives of countless customers in Raleigh and surrounding communities, and at one time was known as the “Hot water Heater King.”

Few things made him happier than tinkering and fixing things. In his 74-year journey he lived a life of adventure and hard work. He enjoyed scuba diving, boating, flying his plane, and in recent years driving his Corvette. He also loved his faithful Boston Terrier, Oscar who he took for walks around his neighborhood. John was loved and respected and will be deeply missed by many.
