Katherine Lynn Goldston

Katherine Goldston passed away on September 3, 2023 at the age of 67 after a long battle with cancer.

Kathy was born in Sanford, North Carolina and grew up in Goldston, a small town in Chatham county. She was a devout Christian and spent many years singing in the First United Methodist Church of Cary choir, and also spent some time working as a choir director and church organist at the Goldston Baptist Church. She was a gifted pianist, singer, and photographer. Above all else she will be remembered for her deep sense of compassion and her vibrant personality. Everyone who met Kathy has been inspired by her authentically kind, loving nature.

She spent several years managing a food pantry at Dorcas Ministries, a non-profit, helping those in need during hard times. Prior to that she worked with a professional wedding photographer, capturing some of the most precious moments a family can have. Kathy has left a lasting impression on countless people throughout her life thanks to her warm demeanor, and she will be lovingly remembered by all who knew her.

Kathy is survived by her son Christopher, brother David and his wife Wendy, her niece Molly and nephew Benjamin.

Funeral services will be held on September 18 at 1:00 P.M. at First United Methodist Church in Cary.
