Katherine Cash McManus

Katherine "Kay" Cash McManus, beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully on October 3, 2023, in Raleigh, North Carolina. She was born on November 7, 1941, in Raleigh, NC where she spent her entire life.

Katherine was known for her warm and compassionate nature. She had a heart of gold and would give you the shirt off her back if you needed it. She had a remarkable talent for art and fashion design, using her creativity to bring beauty into the world. Beyond her artistic abilities, Katherine was a devoted mother and grandmother, cherishing every moment spent with her family.

Katherine is survived by her loving son, K. B. Pearce Jr., and wife Bonnie Pearce, her brother Hugh F. McManus III and wife Karen Harris McManus, as well as her grandsons K. B. Pearce III and wife Kellie Pearce, and Brandon Forest Pearce. Niece Kimberly McManus Weinbach and Hugh Forrest McManus IV She also leaves behind her cherished great-granddaughter, Kinley Pearce.
She was preceded in death by her father, Dr. Hugh F. McManus Jr. and mother, Katie Cash McManus and infant daughter Rebecca Katherine Pearce. Their memory will forever be held close to the hearts of those who loved them.

A celebration of Katherine’s life will be held during the spring of 2024. Details of the service will be announced at a later date, allowing friends and family to gather and honor her memory together.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly request that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association of your choice. Contributions will help support research and provide aid to those affected by this devastating disease.

“Kay” Cash McManus will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her legacy of warmth, artistic talent, and devotion to her family will continue to inspire those whose lives she touched. May she rest in eternal peace.
