Charles Wayne Mitchell

Charles Wayne Mitchell of Manson, NC passed away at the age of 66 on November 4, 2023. He was born in Henderson, NC on January 12, 1957 to the late Charles Haskins Mitchell and Sallie King Mitchell. Wayne is survived by his wife of 46 years, Wendy King Mitchell, his sister, Nancy Mitchell Thompson, his nieces and nephews as well as many devoted friends.
Wayne and Wendy returned home to Manson in the early 90’s and built their home on Kerr Lake which they enjoyed with friends and family. Wayne was an avid reader and loved all his dog and cat pets. He will be missed by many.
Rev. Richard McBride will conduct a Memorial Service at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at Mount Auburn UCC, Manson, NC.
