Karen Elizabeth Clevenger

Karen Elizabeth Clevenger, 69, of Holly Springs, NC passed away peacefully in the presence of her family on Wednesday, November 15th, 2023. Karen was a devoted defender of the environment and was employed by the State of North Carolina in various roles for 45 years. She attended Wake Technical Community College and North Carolina State University. Karen began her exemplary public service as an NC Lab Assistant in 1977. Karen finished her career as an NC Environmental Specialist, thus closing out an exemplary career of service for the people of North Carolina. She is survived by many friends and family, whose lives she has touched and those close to her remember her as a loving person who always thought of others before herself. Karen is preceded in death by her father, William, mother Jane, and sister Billie. She is survived by her nephew, Mike Havard, her niece, Christina Upton, and her cousin, Julius (Jay) Morgan II.
