Russell E. Salvatore

Russell Edward "Russ" Salvatore of Raleigh passed away peacefully on November 27, 2023. Russ was born May 12, 1944, in Barrington, New Jersey to Ralph Edward Salvatore and Lillian Clayton Salvatore. He graduated from Haddon Heights High School in 1962 and enlisted in the United States Air Force where he served three and a half years in France and a one-year tour of duty in Vietnam. After leaving the military, Russ moved to California where he began a thirty-year career with the U.S. Postal Service. Upon his retirement, he relocated to Raleigh, North Carolina to be near his family. An avid sports fan, he spent many hours watching college and professional games on television. Also, a dedicated golfer, he enjoyed equally as many hours on the Hedingham Golf Course.

Russ is survived by his brother Denny (Maxine), nephews Ben (Bentley), Nick, and John (Kim), plus 8 grandnieces and grandnephews.
