James Roba Fowler, Jr.

On January 2nd, 2024, James Roba Fowler, Jr. ("Jim"), 88, went from his earthly home to his heavenly home after a courageous battle with Lewy Body Dementia.
Jim was born in Bicoe, NC on Oct. 13, 1935. He is a Wake Forest University graduate, a US Army Veteran and had a 30-year career at the CDC.
He is lovingly remembered by his wife of 60 years, Nancie, his daughters, Alison Holz, Paige Fowler and husband Bill, Lynda Smith and her husband Todd, as well as his grandkids, James, Jackson and Kate Smith.
Jim was a dedicated runner and later in life became a daily walker. He was an avid Wake Forest sports fan and had a passion for Native American history and culture.
The family would like to thank Transitions Home Hospice and The One You Love Homecare for their compassionate care the last 6 months.
Per Jim's wishes, there will be no service. If you would like to donate in memory of Jim, please do so to a charity of your choice.
