Wilma Kenny

Wilma slipped away into the arms of our Lord on Friday, April 19th at home with her husband and first-born daughter by her bedside.
Born in Port Jervis, N.Y. to Margaret and Francisco DiPietro. She is predeceased by her parents, her brother Frank, and nephew, Anthony DiPietro.
She graduated Port Jervis High School in 1958 and was editor of the school yearbook. Willie, as she is known, attended, and graduated in 1962 from Union College of Pharmacy, Albany, N.Y.
In 1965 she married Lawrence W. Kenny. They moved to Sparta, New Jersey where they raised two girls, Margaret (Meg) and Elizabeth (Beth).
Willie practiced Pharmacy until 1985 when she went back to school where she served on Law Review, worked in the Constitutional Litigation Clinic of the Rutgers School of Law and interned with the Honorable H. Lee Sarokin in the District court of N.J. She graduated with honors in 1987.
She worked as an attorney specializing in Environmental law until she retired in 2002.
Willie enjoyed sailing on Lake Mohawk with her husband Larry and hiking the Trails and National Parks around St. George, Utah. She was an avid runner, tennis player, and downhill skier. In her downtime she enjoyed reading detective fiction. She passed her love of reading whodunnits down to her daughters. She had a great love of water, especially the ocean. Nothing could beat a beautiful day at the beach with a good book.
Wilma is survived by her husband Larry, her daughters Meg and Beth, and grandson Dustin.
