Shannon Joyce Clark Gibson passed away unexpectedly on March 21, 2023, in Raleigh, North Carolina. Shannon was preceded in death by her parents, William Clark and Joyce Norton. She is survived by her partner of many years, Vincent “Skeeter” Matthews; siblings, Bill Clark, Sonny Clark, Erica Clark, Stephanie Clark, and Valerie Clark; Her children, Paul Gibson, Sarah Pernell, Rachel Gibson, and Gracey Gibson; Her grandchildren, Alijah Gibson, Leannah Gould, Addilynn Gould, Paislee Pernell, and Dominic Randall. Shannon was a waitress at a local Waffle House and enjoyed her job as well as her co-workers, who quickly became her family. Shannon was a natural caregiver who was often willing to help those around her and her community. She was an avid yard seller and thrifter, and always had a way to find great deals and unique finds!

Shannon’s life will be celebrated in a private ceremony at City of Oaks Funeral Home. Please contact the family for service details.
