Lowell Edward Boldt
June 1, 1931 - September 17, 2024
Raleigh, NC.
Lowell Boldt, 93, surrounded by family, passed away peacefully at home Tuesday morning September 17, 2024. Lowell was preceded in death by his first wife H. Jean (Deutschlander) Boldt, daughter Beverly Boldt, son Randy Boldt, and second wife Virginia Benedetto-Boldt. He leaves son Kurt (Beth) Boldt, sister Deborah (Boldt) Clancy, and step children, William V. Benedetto, Susan (Victor) Calautti, and Nancy Benedetto to cherish his memory.
Lowell was a graduate of Struthers High School and attended Tri State University in Indiana where he studied engineering, and was the maintenance manager at Hynes Industries until retirement. An avid outdoorsman who loved travel, adventure, and country music, Lowell was an active life-long member of the Lowellville Rod and Gun club, and enjoyed nothing more than spending time hunting and fishing at his cabin in Kane, PA, or reminiscing of his youth working on his uncle’s ranch in the mountains of Colorado.
Lowell embodied the quintessential “do-it-your-selfer” and was rumored to be able to fix or repair almost anything. Known for his easy smile and gentle personality, he was quick to laughter - and slow to anger.
He was a loving husband, amazing father, and reliable friend to many, and will be missed by all.
