Randolph Edwin Hicks, Jr.

Mr. Randolph "Randy" Edwin Hicks, Jr., 73 of Durham, died on Tuesday, September 17, 2024. Mr. Hicks was born in Durham, North Carolina to the late Randolph Edwin Hicks and Mary Josephine Gooch. He graduated from Northern High School. He worked at Coca-Cola for many years until becoming disabled. He was an avid sports fan and was a die-hard TarHeel. He loved his family, the outdoors, the beach & lake, hunting, fishing, golfing and his many dogs and cats. He is preceeded in death by his late wife of 46 years, Kathryn Hicks of Durham. He is survived by son, Charlie Hicks of Wake Forest and daughter, Jennifer Hicks of Durham; brother: Phil Hicks, wife Karen Hicks of Butner and sister: MaryJo Blumenfeld, husband Andrew Blumenfeld of Gambrills, MD; three grandchildren, Cameron Hicks, Quinn Hicks, Dean Hicks all of Wake Forest and many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family will have a celebration of life at a later date. Memorial gifts, donations and flowers may be made to the family directly.
