Michael is survived by his sister Rebecca Wiggins Smithson.

He is preceded in death by his son, Cameron Michael Wiggins and his parents, James Benton Wiggins and Mary Elizabeth Wiggins.

Mike was well-known for his humor, quick wit, and love for the beach, fishing, horses, and the cowboy lifestyle. He could always be counted on to lend a helping hand when needed. Mike loved life and having fun. He loved his family and considered his many friends to be part of his family. He is loved, and will be missed, and will continue to live in our hearts and memories.

The family would like to express heartfelt thanks and gratitude to the kind and caring nurses and doctors at Rex Hospital for their dedication and support during this difficult time.
