Heidi Fox Tripp

On November 4, 2024, Heidi Fox Tripp leapt joyfully into the arms of Jesus. She was lovingly surrounded by her family at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill, NC, after a brave and inspiring battle with brain cancer. She was 48 years old. Heidi is survived by her husband John; son Payton; parents Keith and Sabina; grandmother Ingeborg; sisters Lindsey (Kasey) and Katie (Patrick); sisters-in-law April (Jason) and Kama (Donnie); father-in-law Johnny; grandmother-in-law Nellie; five nieces; and six nephews.
Heidi was born on April 4, 1976, in Nashville, TN. Heidi was the oldest of three sisters, who only grew closer with age. She graduated from Northport High School in 1994, went on to obtain her Bachelor’s Degree from Appalachian State University, then excitedly earned her Master’s degree in clinical counseling from Colorado Christian University. Over her multi-decade career, most recently working with One-Eighty Counseling, Heidi touched the lives of hundreds of people. She went into each therapy session thoughtfully with prayer, meeting each client where they were, and with love and grace challenged them to grow.
In 2016, Heidi married the love of her life, John, after meeting at New Hope Church in Durham, NC. Along with son Payton, John and Heidi embarked on many adventures together from entrepreneurship to growing their faith, all contributing to their beautiful marriage they shared. Though Heidi is no longer with us this side of Heaven, her legacy will impact the lives of all who knew her for years to come. We rejoice in knowing we will see her again.
In Heidi’s memory, our family asks that anyone who is so moved donates to one of the following:
