Jerry Ennis

Raleigh-Jerry Wayne Ennis 74 of Raleigh NC passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday March 10, 2025.

He was born in Wake County on September 21, 1950. He lived in Raleigh NC his entire life and attended Broughton High School. After graduating high school, he served in the Air Force. Following his service, he met his wife Delores Ennis, and began his career in the electric co-op. He enjoyed traveling with his sons and watching them play baseball for many years. Jerry was a very outgoing person and loved talking with anyone who would listen. He never met a stranger. After retiring from full-time employment, he found joy working part-time at NAPA Auto Store. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren watching Chance play sports and Mady dance at dance competitions.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 50 years, Delores McGee Ennis, sons Wayne (Heather) Ennis, Daniel (Kelly) Ennis, sisters Annette Holloman and Carolyn Dean, grandchildren Chance and Mady Ennis, and 4 nieces and nephews, and several great nieces and nephews.
The visitation and celebration of life for those wishing to attend will be held at Ebenezer Community Baptist Church on Ebenezer Church Road at 7808 Ebenezer Church Road Raleigh NC on Wednesday March 19, 2025, from 6pm-8pm.
