Michael (Mike) Waters

Michael (Mike) Waters, age 62, of Youngsville, NC, passed away at home on March 10, 2025.

Mike was born on August 29, 1962, in Washington, DC, and was lovingly adopted by his parents, Albert R. Waters and Betty C. Waters. Both parents preceded him in death.

Mike graduated from Sanderson High School in Raleigh, NC, and lived in Raleigh until his marriage in 1986. He and his wife later moved to Youngsville, NC.

Mike is survived by his wife of 39 years, Donna Chandler Waters; son Chandler Waters of Banner Elk, NC; daughter Caitlin Waters of Mobile, AL; and sister Pam Pritchard of Raleigh, NC. He was also blessed with three loving sisters-in-law and their spouses, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Mike had the opportunity to meet with his birth family before he passed, which was a very positive experience for him.

A lover of the outdoors, Mike pursued a career in landscaping, often saying he mowed the straightest lines in the Triangle. He was also passionate about animals and enjoyed being a devoted dog sitter for his friends' and family's fur babies.
