Diana Trent

Diana Lee Bridgers Trent was born on September 11, 1945 in Washington DC. She died April 2, 2025 peacefully at the SECU Hospice House. Graduating in 1963 from Smithfield High School she continued her education at East Carolina University. After starting her family, and acting as a Den Mother to her sons Cub Scouts, she finally obtained her nursing degree from Wake Technical College in 1984. In that same year, she proudly served and retired as a psychiatric nurse of 20 years in the child and youth unit at Dorothea Dix Hospital. She is survived by her sons Jackson, Tommy and Kenny Trent, her grandchildren Jackson, Elaina and Bridger along with their families. Having just lost her husband David in December, the family takes solace in the belief they are together again, sitting in a rocking chair on a porch, overlooking the ocean and watching dolphins play in the surf.
