In Loving Memory of Jeffrey Lynnwood Kennedy

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Jeffrey Lynnwood Kennedy, who left us unexpectedly at the age of 68. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many.

Jeffrey Lynnwood Kennedy was born on September 19th, 1956 in Atlanta, Georgia. He was the son of Jack and Patricia Kennedy and grew up with three siblings, Jack, Walter and twin brother Patrick. He was a graduate of Needham Broughton Highschool class of 1975 and then attended North Carolina State University, where he graduated with a degree in Psychology.

Jeff was married to the love of his life, Dawn Harris Kennedy, for 44 years and together they raised two children, Jeffrey Cole Kennedy and Courtney Kennedy DiFranco. He worked as a sales manager for 30 years in the electrical distribution space, where he was known for his dedication, hard work, and success.

Jeff had a passion for sports cars, coin collecting, golfing, outdoor activities, movies, craft beer and cheering on his Wolfpack. He enjoyed spending his free time with his grandchildren, vacationing frequently in both Blowing Rock and Ocean Isle Beach, North Carolina throughout his lifetime. His larger-than-life personality, social prowess, willingness to make friends with anyone guided him through life and made him unforgettable.

He is survived by his loving wife, Dawn, his son Jeffrey (Allison) , daughter Courtney (Sam) and three grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.

A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, July 10th, from Noon until 2 pm at The Corner & Meeting House of Wake Forest, 102 North Ave., Wake Forest, 27587. We will forever cherish the memories we have and will continue to carry on his passion for life.
