Curtis Dwayne Tharpe, 57, of Raleigh, North Carolina, passed away on
July 1, 2025. Born on February 3, 1968, in South Boston, Virginia,
Dwayne lived a life marked by quiet intelligence, deep love for his
family, and a strong faith.

Dwayne was a devoted father to his son, Gage Tharpe, who was his
greatest source of pride and joy. He is also survived by his loving
brothers, Gray and Nicholas Tharpe. He was preceded in death by his
parents, William Curtis Tharpe and Evelyn Bruce Tharpe.

A gifted computer programmer, Dwayne brought thoughtfulness and
precision to his work. He was known for his curiosity and calm nature,
qualities that made him not only a talented professional but also a
trusted friend and colleague.

Dwayne attended college and valued education, learning, and
self-improvement. Outside of work, he found joy in music and
television—both of which gave him comfort, laughter, and inspiration
throughout his life. His love for music especially reflected his
thoughtful and soulful personality.

A lifelong Catholic, Dwayne carried his faith quietly but firmly,
drawing strength from it during life’s trials and joys alike.
