Linda Sneeden Lupton

Linda Sneeden Lupton, 78, of Clayton, North Carolina, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 30, 2025, following a brief and aggressive battle with cancer.
Linda was born on April 21, 1947, in Wilmington, North Carolina, to Mary Ellen Wyatt and Spurbie Eugene Sneeden. She grew up in New Bern and carried the strength, charm, and warmth of her coastal upbringing throughout her life.
In April 1973, she married the love of her life, Guy Lupton. They shared 38 wonderful years of marriage before his passing in August 2011. Linda was also preceded in death by her beloved son, Chad Eugene Lupton (1977–2022); her mother, Mary (2012); her father, Spurbie (1976); and her brother, Bradford Sneeden (2008).
As a hairstylist, Linda had a natural gift for making people feel beautiful, inside and out. She was known for her lively personality, and later in life, for her livelier purple spiky hair. Linda loved flamingos, the beach, and a cold Bud Light. She had a heart full of love and a smile that lit up every room she walked into.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Chastity Lin Lupton Register and Daniel “Art” Register of Clayton; her brother, David Sneeden and wife Rhonda of New Bern; her sister-in-law, Carolyn Sneeden of Raleigh; her niece, Olivia Sneeden McCall of Raleigh, and her nephews; Adam Sneeden of New Bern, Keith Sneeden of Raleigh, Bradford Sneeden Jr. of Raleigh. She also leaves behind five grandchildren: Catherine “Caitlin” House of Greenville; Skylar Lupton, Elizabeth Lupton, Elaina Lupton, and Chad Lupton Jr., of Concord.
A celebration of life will be held for family and friends on Sunday, July 20, 2025, from 2-5pm at the Tuscany Ridge Clubhouse (54 Tuscan Ridge Way) in Clayton, NC. All who knew and loved Linda are welcome to join in remembering her kind and loving spirit.
