William Roselle Bay

William Roselle (Bill) Bay, age 76 of Raleigh, North Carolina, passed away on Sunday, July 6, 2025. Born on September 13, 1948, Bill grew up in Wilson County, North Carolina, where he attended Lee Woodard High School. Following high school, Bill served in the United States Air Force and graduated from Wilson Technical Institute and Atlantic Christian (now Barton) College. He was employed by Long Manufacturing and later Carolina Telephone/Sprint in Tarboro, North Carolina. Following retirement, Bill embraced a life full of reading, listening to the New York Yankees, watching the Duke Blue Devils and spending time with the love of his life, Joyce.

Bill is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Joyce Barnes Bay; daughter, Kelli Bay Davis and husband Thomas Bradford Davis; and two grandchildren, Sophia Madeleine Davis and Jack Bradford Davis. He is also survived by his sister, Carolyn Bay Waycaster and cousins Theresa Maxwell Anderson, Charles C. Anderson and William R. Anderson.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Louise Barnes Creekmore and son, Jason William Bay.
