Richard Edward Baer

Richard Edward Baer of Wake Forest, NC, formally of Buffalo, NY passed away peacfully at his home on Septmeber 8, 2025.

Rick was a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He is survived by his daughters Dee Stroud (Gunner), Richelle Baer, and Jennifer Davis (Jason) all of Wake Forest, ten grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and sister, Carol Sweeney along with several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Harvey Baer, his mother, Claudine Baer, his wife, Ethel Baer, and his sister, Nancy Glinski.

Rick was a lifetime member of the ELKS Lodge where he served in many postions through the years. Prior to relocating to North Carloina, he was heavily involved in a food pantry with the Casselberry Florida Police Department which provided food to underprivliged youth.

A heartfelt thank you to Samantha with Transitions Life Care and Sabrina with Homewell Care. In lieu of flowers, donations in Rick's memory can be made to Transitions Life Care, 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh, NC 27607.

The family will receive visitors from 11:00-1:00 pm on Tuesday, September 16, 2025 at Seven Marks Church, 3500 Spring Forest Road, Raleigh, NC 27616.
