Linda Lucille Swain Keever

Linda Lucille Swain Keever of Cherrywood Ct Raleigh died peacefully in her sleep on October 12, 2025 at Transition Hospice House after a year long battle with cancer. She was born in Parkers Lake, Ky. to the late McArthur Swain and Phyllis Parriman Selfridge.
By her side when she passed were her son, Elliottt Monroe Keever of Greenville and her long time partner, Jim Carter, of the home. Also surviving to cherish her memory are three sisters, Lillian Canada and Misty Justice of Williamsburg, KY and Christy Justice (Chuck) of Clanton, Al. as well as many nieces and nephews. She had many friends and a loving “work family” at Fonville Morisey & Barefoot where she worked as an Executive Assistant and office manager.
Linda loved to travel, was a frequent beachgoer and had many adventures with Jim. She was a charter member of the Raleigh Harley Owners Group and was a former finalist for Ms. Harley during her modeling days.
A celebration of life will be held at Saints and Scholars Restaurant and Pub in Raleigh on November 16 from 4-6. The following day her ashes will be released into the ocean at Emerald Isle, her “happy place”.
