Barbara Samples Pittman

Barbara Samples Pitman, 80, passed away peacefully on October 31, 2025. Barbara was born with a love for the simple joys of life, and she found her greatest happiness in the mountains picking apples for her homemade pies and preserves. She also loved visiting local farms for berries—whether to turn them into something delicious or simply enjoy them fresh. Her home was always warm and inviting, decorated beautifully for every holiday and season. Gardening was another of her passions, and she tended her plants with the same care she gave to the people she loved.

Barbara was preceded in death by her beloved partner, Paul, and by her cherished son, Sean Samples. She is survived by her devoted daughter, Wendy Kuehn, and by her grandchildren: Kady, Brandon, Jolie, Jace, and Cole, all of whom brought her immense pride and joy.

A celebration of Barbara’s life will be held at the home of Wendy and Kris Kuehn on December 5 at 4:00 p.m., continuing into the evening as friends and family gather in comfort and remembrance.

Barbara’s legacy of warmth, creativity, and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
