Annie V. Wood

Mrs. Annie V. Wood went to be with the Lord on November 2, 2025. Born on July 13, 1932, in Raleigh, NC., she was a lifelong resident of Wake County. She was saved by the grace of God in 1958, and Grace Baptist Church became her church home. From that day forward, her goal in life was to tell everyone she met about Jesus.

Boots, as she was affectionately called by many who knew her, was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 42 years, Robert L. “Bob” Wood, her brother Frances Young, and Daughter-In-Law Wanda D. Wood. She is survived by her sons Robert E. Wood (Debbie), David G. Wood (Pam), Mark T. Wood (Melody), and James M. Wood (Michele), as well as nine grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her brother Lacy E. Young.

“Miss Annie” was a resident of Coventry House of Zebulon for the last six years. The family wants to thank the staff and residents for their love and care. We would also like to thank Transitions Life Care for their compassionate end-of-life care.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, November 7, 2025, at 11 AM at Grace Baptist Church, 3305 Old Milburnie Road, Raleigh, NC, 27616. A graveside service will follow at 2 PM at Montlawn Memorial Park, 2911 S. Wilmington Street, Raleigh, NC.
