Carolyn Jeanne Nelson (“Carrie”)

Carolyn Jeanne Nelson (“Carrie”) left to be with the Lord on October 31, 2025. She was born in 1934 in South Bend, Indiana. She loved her family, music, animals, and the beach. She was a kind and good-hearted mother to all and was very dedicated to her faith at St. Michael the Archangel Church in Cary, North Carolina.

She retired from Glaxo Wellcome in Research Triangle Park and later spent many hours volunteering at Dorcas Ministries.

Carrie is survived by her children Ken, Jon, Andrew, and Judy. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Nikki, in 2002. She also leaves behind four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. We all will forever cherish her love and memory.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the entire staff at Bond Park Total Life Center and to Carola McClure for their kindness, dedication, and compassionate care during Carrie’s later years.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Jesse Tree Ministries at St. Michael the Archangel Church to provide gifts at Christmas for less fortunate families. Contributions may be directed to JesseTree@stmcary.org. A funeral Mass will be held on November 11, 2025 at 11:00 at St. Michael the Archangel Church in Cary, NC.
