Clyde King Jr.

Clyde King Jr, 69, of Dekalb, IL passed away peacefully on May 15, 2023 at his daughter's home in North Carolina.

Clyde was born on May 30, 1953 to the late Clyde and Irene King. Clyde was born and raised in DeKalb, IL where he attended DeKalb High School and then went on to work at General Electric until retirement. He enjoyed watching the Chicago Cubs and Bears games and always had plenty of Hershey bars, Mountain Dew, and Marlboro Reds on hand.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his older brother, David King, and tabby cat Moonwell. He is survived by his daughter Tara Day (Ryan), 3 amazing grandchildren; Kayla Schmit (Trenton), Kane King, and Kendall Day, and former spouse Jean White (Craig Gilbertson).

He is also survived by his four siblings, Linda Velazquez (Paul), Diana Farthing, Richard King (Lily), Danny King (Gayla). He leaves behind many nieces and nephews including close nephew Johnny Simpson.
