William Moore III

William L. “Bill” Moore, III, 82, passed away on December 9, 2025 at his home in Cary, NC. He was born September 15, 1945 in Statesville, NC, to the late William Moore, II, and Ruby Moore.

Bill was a graduate of Clemson University and North Carolina State University and an Army veteran. He worked for the NC Department of Transportation as a Geotechnical Engineer for 30 years and was awarded the Order of the Long Leaf Pine upon retirement.

Bill is survived by his wife of 55 years, Crystal West Moore, along with his daughters, Nancy and Virginia, his sister, Janie, two grandchildren, and other family and friends. No services are planned.
