In Loving Memory of

Sarah Lynne Jordan

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sarah Lynne Jordan, a fiercely loyal, spirited, clever, and funny woman who left this world at the age of 77. She passed away peacefully on December 20, 2025, holding her daughter's hand.

Lynne devoted over 20 years to Medicare provider education, where she traveled all over Tennessee and North Carolina with colleagues who became dear friends, and relished finding the best restaurants in every town while on the company expense account.

She loved cooking and was always excited to share a "neat" recipe that usually involved buying an ingredient she never used again. Her pantry was an eclectic mix of exotic and incongruous items reflecting her adventurous spirit in the kitchen.

She was an ardent Carolina Hurricanes devotee, watching every game and religiously following the fan pages. She called the players "my boys" and had advice for many of them on their performances, which she shared by yelling at them through the TV.

While Lynne had complicated relationships throughout her life, her fierce spirit was a source of joy and conflict alike. Despite the turbulence, one thing is clear. She loved her children and they loved her, even when it was difficult to show it.

As she embarks on this new journey, Lynne is welcomed into the embrace of her beloved mother and aunts, as well as the myriad of dear dogs that filled her home with love over the years. She's found the peace that eluded her here on earth.

For those who wish to honor Lynne's memory, donations may be made to Saving Grace Rescue in Wake Forest, NC, to support her love of dogs, especially shih tzus.

Lynne will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
