Phyllis Miller Wilson

Phyllis Miller Wilson, 75 of Butner, passed away peacefully on January 11, 2026, at the Duke Hospice Hock Family Pavilion in Durham after a lengthy illness. She was preceded in death by her parents Joseph Wade Miller and Udell O’Neal Miller, and her brother, David Miller.

Phyllis is survived by a son, Anthony Richard (Cherie) of Butner; two granddaughters, Haylie Richard Leimone (Cole) of Rougemont and Mallory Kay Richard of Butner; a grandson, Colby Wade Richard of Butner; and a brother, Jerry Miller (Donita) of New Bern.

Being a very creative person by nature, Phyllis enjoyed sewing, painting, gardening and working on DIY projects around her home. She loved music, singing and participating in the church choir. Phyllis was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Creedmoor, and was retired from Clegg’s Termite & Pest Control.
