Edward Harold Parrish

Edward "Harold" Parrish, aged 83, died peacefully on January 11, 2026 at Springbrook Nursing Center in Clayton NC. Harold was born on May 22, 1942 in Johnston County to the late Jessie L. and Ola Mae Creech Parrish. He is survived by son; Rev. Jonathan L. Pearce (Michelle) of Four Oaks, son; Brian Pearce (Dawn) of Raleigh, sisters; Faye Shingleton of Clayton and Carol Lushene-Edwards of Garner, granddaughters; Casey Pearce of Four Oaks, Haley Norris (Jacob) of Smithfield, and Madelyn Jane Pearce, grandson; Matthew Pearce of Raleigh. He is preceded in death by his wife, Debbie C. Parrish, brothers; Loumas, William, Thurman, and Glen Parrish, sisters; Myrtie Adkins and Linda Grissom.

Known to many as the "Goat Man", Harold enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, as well as his numerous animals, including his beloved dog, Tubby. He was a kind, generous, and loving soul that never met a stranger, always wanting to make others smile and laugh. He loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and invited others to attend church with him on a regular basis. He will be greatly missed.

A memorial service will be held January 29, 2026 at 11 am with Pastor Cameron Peedin officiating at Victory Church, located at 2825 S. Wilmington St., Raleigh, NC 27603
