Ginger B. Stephenson

July 18, 1946 – February 4, 2026
Ginger Boley Stephenson, 79, of Raleigh, North Carolina, passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home on February 4, 2026, following a courageous battle with brain cancer.
Born on July 18, 1946, in Clinton, North Carolina, Ginger lived a life rooted in faith, family, and service to others. She was deeply devoted to her church, where she volunteered faithfully and formed lasting friendships that meant the world to her. Her love for God guided her life and was evident in the kindness, generosity, and grace she showed to everyone she met.
Ginger worked diligently for nearly 30 years at Barnhill Contracting Company in Raleigh, where she was known for her strong work ethic and reliability. Outside of work, she loved to travel, spend time with her friends and family, and open her home to others. She was especially known for her wonderful Southern cooking, which
brought people together and made everyone feel welcome.
She is survived by her son, Brad Stephenson; her daughter, Haley Stephenson Vonnoh; her sister, Evelyn Arrington; and her four beloved grandchildren: Tripp Vonnoh, Reese Vonnoh Jones, Jeffrey Stephenson, and Emmett Stephenson.
A celebration of Ginger's life will be held on Saturday, March 21, with visitation at 10:00 and services at 11:00, at Providence Baptist Church at 6339 Glenwood Avenue, Raleigh NC 27612.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the many friends and family members who offered meals, care visits, prayers, and unwavering support during Ginger’s illness. Your love and kindness meant more than words can express.
Ginger will be remembered for her steadfast faith, her love of family and friends, her servant’s heart, and the warmth she brought into every room. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always.
