Sean Paul Anding

Sean Paul Anding, 45, of Lillington, North Carolina, passed away on February 11, 2026. He was born October 18, 1980, in Wilmington, North Carolina.
Sean was a proud Army veteran who served three years as a tank driver, a role that reflected his strength, determination, and fearless spirit. He later became a business owner and truck driver, known for his hard work and dedication. Sean had a true passion for cars—especially AMG models—and was exceptionally skilled at window tinting. He took great pride in his craft and could tint virtually any vehicle that came his way.
He was known for his stubborn and hard-headed nature, balanced by a loving heart and unmistakable charm. Sean’s greatest pride in life was his family, especially his children. He was deeply proud of the young man Seth has become and of Wyatt’s scholastic achievements and bright future. One story that perfectly captured Sean’s perseverance was when he was hit by a car during a cross-country race—and still got up and finished.
Sean had a soft spot for dogs, especially working K-9s. His social media was filled with videos celebrating retiring service dogs, and he dearly loved his own dog, Apollo. He also had a tender side for those he loved—always calling his mother “beautiful,” a small but meaningful gesture that reflected his affectionate spirit.
He is survived by his mother, Linda Dennis; Father Tommy Dennis; sisters, Diana Letchworth and Rachel Letchworth; partner, Melissa Icenhour; children, Seth Anding and Wyatt Anding; grandchild, Mason Anding; grandmother, Arline Cain; nephew Brayden Paul; niece Adison Hamilton; and a large extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends across the country.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, James Paul Cain Jr., and great-grandparents, Rudolph and Hazel Jarrell.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Project K-9 Hero, an organization that provides financial assistance for medical care, food, and other needs for retired K-9s so they can often remain with their handlers.

We were blessed to have Sean in our lives. He made us laugh, challenged us, protected us, and loved us in his own unforgettable way. We will miss his voice, his jokes, his stubborn spirit, and the way he could light up a room just by being in it. Though our hearts are broken, we carry him with us in every memory, every story, and every moment we shared. We love you always, Sean, and we will hold you in our hearts until we see you again.
