John "Jack" Lavin

John Lavin, age 96, passed away on February 15, 2026.
He was born in NYC on December 9, 1929, the son of the late Martin and Nora (Kelly) Lavin.
He is preceded in death by his wife Ruth Lavin.

He is survived by three daughters, Elaine (Richard), Joanne (Charlie) and Patricia. Grandchildren, Joseph (Johanna), John (Lindsey),
Jessica (Brandon), Christopher and William. Great-grandchildren Ramona and Madeleine.

He proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War.
He worked for more than 25 years as a dedicated NYC Police Officer.

Known to many as "Jack", he had a great sense of humor. Singing and listening to music were his passions.

He was a kind, generous and loving man. He will be greatly missed.

A private family mass and burial will be held in New Fairfield, CT.
