James C. Buie Sr.

James C Buie, 78 of Tarboro peacefully passed away Wednesday March 4,2026 at his home. Jim was born April 6, 1947 in Fayetteville.

He is survived by his wife Elena Buie and his two sons James C. Buie Jr, wife Miriam and Anthony Wayne Buie, his grandchildren Joshua Buie, Elizabeth Buie, and Amber Buie, and great grandchildren Jayden Cruze Buie, Chase Griffen, Presley Buie and Olivia Griffin. In addition, he is survived by sisters Elaine Strickland, Sheila Weatherford, and brother Danny Buie of Fayetteville.

Jim joins his parents Robert C. Buie and Alice Rebecca Walker and his siblings Linda Paulette, Kenneth Buie and Rocky Buie in heaven.

At Jim’s request we will honor him in a celebration of Life as opposed to traditional funeral services at a later time.
