Dennis Michael “Mickey” Feaster passed away peacefully at the age of 65 in his home of Raleigh, North Carolina on April 10, 2026 after a long and hard-fought battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife, Linda Carmen Feaster, his daughter Jennifer Ana Burman, his sons Paul Andrey Feaster, and Cameron Luis Feaster, and his two grandchildren Anastasia Kelsey Burman, and Andrew Ryan Burman.

Mickey was born in Bloomington, Indiana on March 7, 1961 of George Feaster and Oma Feaster and was the 5th of 7 siblings: Jean Hall (husband Dave Hall), Bill Feaster (wife Tina Feaster) Ed Feaster (wife Rebecca Feaster), Don Feaster (wife Marilyn Feaster), Larry Feaster, Steve Feaster (wife Christina Feaster).

After graduating high school, he attended Indiana University, during which time he competed strongly in a great assortment of weightlifting competitions while also balancing his studies in computer programming. He graduated in the class of 1986 with a Bachelor's of Science in Computer Science, and later with a Masters of Business Administration in Technology Management in 2003.

Mickey met and married Linda in Bloomington, Indiana. They were happily married for 35+ years - a time filled with moves across the country, and many travel adventures along the way with their family of 5.

Mickey was a family focused man who worked diligently to provide and care and stability for those closest to him. He sought a progressive career in computer programming and later team management. He persevered through recessions and taking demanding jobs that required extensive hours of work and travel.

When not working or maintaining their home with Linda and his children, he often traveled with his family, played video games with his sons, or practiced his various stringed instruments, particularly his guitar and mandolin. He always prioritized attending every one of his children's performances, games, graduations, and award events, while also aiding in the homeschooling of his sons.

Mickey was a happy man, always seeking the best in people. He was quick to crack a joke, make a voice, and do whatever needed to be done to grant a smile to those around him. Mickey took the time to guide and teach, but to also support, and cherish. Whenever the future looked bleak, or uncertain, he was a pillar of stability. Anyone who knew him well understood that wherever you found Mickey standing, you could find comfort, love, and a place to call home.

Mickey was a calming, logical, and witty presence in his home and work. Entering every conversation with an open mind genuinely trying to understand and find the best solution for everyone along with a little humor. This quiet strength is often undervalued except to those fortunate enough to learn from him. He was patient in teaching new skills, understanding when failures inevitably occurred, and calm and comforting when you felt overwhelmed. Always a sound mind to bounce ideas off of and seek council from, his empathy and kindness was quietly present in every discussion and solution. His impact in this world was a positive one to all who had the privilege to know and love him.
