Carolyn Ann Magdarz and Edward Frank Magdarz

Carolyn Ann Magdarz, 87, of Wake Forest, entered God’s kingdom on
May 7, 2023. She was born October 31, 1936 to Evelyn and Earl Wallace
in Chicago, IL.

Carolyn was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and
great grandmother. She was pre-deceased by her husband; Edward (Ed)
Magdarz, age 89, who passed away February 23, 2023. Ed was born
June 27, 2034 in Chicago, IL. Carolyn and Ed are survived by their sons
Peter Magdarz of Huntsville, Alabama, and Paul Magdarz of Burlington,
NC.

After Ed completed a tour of duty in the US Navy, Carolyn and Ed met
and soon married. Ed had a long and distinguished career with IBM.
They enjoyed 27 years of spending time in their waterfront Lake Gaston
vacation home.

Carolyn graduated from Steinmetz High School in Chicago, IL. She
worked in the cosmetic and fragrance industry as an assistant account
executive and model. She applied her creative talents to interior design,
enjoyed gardening, bowling, playing Mahjong, and entertaining friends
in her home. She volunteered with the American Cancer Society.

A memorial service will take place at City of Oaks Funeral Home,
4900 Green Road, Raleigh. In lieu of flowers
donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
