Deborah McLain Wright

Deborah McLain Wright, 74, passed away peacefully on April 10, 2026. She was born on August I3, 1951, in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Deborah was preceded in death by parents, Hugh and Betty McLain; beloved husband, J.B. Wright; son, Jason Wright; brother, Chip McLain; nephew, Will Wilson; father-in-law Vonla Wright, and mother-in-law Isabell Wright; daughter-in-law Leslie Wright.

She is survived by her son, J.B. Wright and his wife, Jenny; sisters, Geri Wilson (Conrad) and Jessie Long (Mike); brother, Sandy McLain (Joanie); and a host of loving in-laws, nieces, and nephews throughout the Carolinas and Tennessee.

Deb will be remembered as a loving mother, wife, sister, and aunt. She was well known for her pound cakes and potato salad, which were always a staple at family dinners. Deb tackled life with a sense of humor and a spirited, unpredictable nature-those who knew her never quite knew what she might say or do next, and they loved her all the more for it.

She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
